Electrical Panel Upgrade

Electrical needs? We've got you covered!

Many older homes throughout the Tri Cities of Washington have outdated electrical service. They simply cannot power air conditioners, computer equipment, and high-definition televisions.

An electrical panel upgrade is often required to accommodate increasing demand for electricity in homes and buildings. Older panels may not have the capacity to power all the modern appliances and devices you use every day.

At A-One Refrigeration and Heating, our team of electricians provides a variety of electrical service upgrades throughout Richland, Pasco, Kennewick, Highland, Eltopia, and beyond. Our work includes a 2-year warranty on parts and labor.

Should you upgrade your electrical panel?

Electrical panels connect your home’s electrical system to the public utility lines and control the flow of electricity throughout the building. Although these panels have a long lifespan, you run the risk of inefficiency and system overloads if you use one that is too old or too small for your electricity needs.

Your electrical system is susceptible to the effects of wear and tear just like any other part of your home. The electrical panel in an old home may be dangerously out of date or does not meet current industry standards. If you live in or bought a home that’s a few decades old, you may want to consider having the panel replaced before it fails completely.

You should upgrade your electric panel if any of the following applies:

  • Panel is over 25 years old
  • Blinking, dimming, or flickering lights
  • Buzzing, sizzling, or cracking sounds coming from outlets
  • Frequently tripped breakers
  • Need to install more outlets
  • Uses fuses instead of circuit breakers
  • Visible signs of rust or damage
  • Overheating issues
  • Must unplug some appliances to use others
  • Too reliant on power strips
  • Appliances run at low efficiency

A-One Electrical Upgrades for a Safer, More Efficient Home

The past decade has seen drastic changes in the way we use electronic devices and the electricity required to power them.

By updating your home's wiring and electric panel, you can make sure that all of your outlets and appliances get the power they need to work safely and effectively. This will save you money on utility costs and reduce wear and tear on your electronics.

Also, making sure your electric panels are up to date and meet industry standards reduces the chance of system failures, power surges, and risk of fire in your home.

We strongly advise having your electric panel inspected regularly and replaced if necessary. The experienced electricians at A-One can check the condition of your home's electrical system, including the electrical panel, and recommend upgrades to keep your home's electrical systems running at their best for many years to come.

Panel/Service Upgrades

Some Tri Cities homes need 200 AMP service to power all their appliances and equipment. However, some older homes only have 60 AMP service. The A-One team of electricians gets the service upgrade done right and is certified by the State of Washington. Proper electrical service upgrades can improve the safety of your home and may increase its property value.

Electrical Panel Changes

Does your electrical panel feel hot to the touch? Do your lights flicker when a major load turns on, such as a heater? If you notice these conditions or have been living in a home that’s more than 20 years old, call us as soon as possible so our technicians can assess the situation on the ground. We provide a variety of electrical panel services, including panel changes.

Sub-Panel Installations For Homes & Businesses

A service subpanel acts as a circuit breaker or connection point between your main panel and the individual circuits in your home or business. We'll help you figure out what size sub-panel you need for your home and install it for you.

Smoke Detectors & GFCI Detectors

Installing hardwired smoke detectors and ground-fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) detectors is an easy way to make homes in the Tri Cities area safer. A-One offers smoke and GFDI detector installation services for your peace of mind.

Whole-House Surge Protectors

At A-One Refrigeration and Heating, we have advanced whole-house surge protectors that only allow in the amount of electricity that your business or home needs. These units offer protection to all your electrical appliances from unpredictable surges.
